"Yea, thats probably the case." I smile and snuggle close to Nighty as he wraps his arm around me while we walk between the grasses on the trail. "Fair enough, your horns have a elegant form, I guess people would believe you in that case. Still you will grab some attention but if we behave calm we may have nothing to fear. But maybe I am also just too carefull, hehe."

After some time of walking we reach the junction to the farm and follow it a few meters until we go through the wooden gateway onto the farm. It is not a big farm by any means. Just a few stables and a small but comfortable looking farm house. On the other side of the farm is the plain fields we just went through, on the other side is a forest area. As we get onto the farm a older man notices us while he was picking up and carrying a bit of hay under his arm. He might be pretty old as he doesnt seem that fit anymore. In addition he seems rather grumpy. It is obviously the farmer. He walks over to us with the hay under his arm and looks at us suspicious. He watches our badges so he knows why we are here. "Was about time, I registered the quest a few days ago."

[Nighty]

"Being careful is not bad, better safe and sorry. But yes, I rather make story like this, easier to explain plus I expect people will watch me. But will admit, I like your horns alot. They look amazing and have some raw power look" He answer with smile when snuggle her softly, loving her warmth and figure over his, thinking about that it's good to have good company.

Nighty look around the place as he nods and sigh little, well place look calm but surely owner is rather rough around edges "Well I guess nobody was available to do it. But right now we are here. So predator problem?" He ask the old man when move his hand off the Brunhilde and look over the field when think about

"Hehe, thanks for the compliment but I rather stay incognito. At least when we are in public. What happens between us behind closed doors is our affair only. But you can show your horns if you like. I honestly prefer that over hiding yourself under the hood." I smile and watch the man approaching.

"You are damn right!" The man answers. "That predator already killed two of my animals and feasted off them. The rest of the corpse are left behind... Come with me, I show you." The man walks slowly to a small barn behind the house and you can already smell the rotten corpses.

In the barn we can see the corpses of the animals. They have a few bite marks on them. Nothing too special about the corpses. The bite marks show that the predator could have the size of a wolf or a smaller bear. Or a similar magical being, who knows.

The old man also shows us the bigger stable with the sheeps in it. There is nothing special about it, it looks like an easy task. The man explains to us that we can move around freely on the farn but not enter his house. He doesnt give us any more details or tools and leaves to work. We only know the predator comes by night.

"So what do you think?" I ask Nighty during the little tour on the small farm.

[Nighty]

Nighty was watching bite marks on the corpses before he stand up and follow the man to other barn as he shake his head, taking sit over the haystack as he look over Brun "Not much to say really.... Bite look like wolf or small bear so either is this or some magic monster"

He relax as there was still small time for the night to fall, his hand move over hay and take one before place it in his mouth, nibbling it softly when watch the sheeps "And I know you like blend in public Brunhilde, still remember you look amazing" He smirks before watch her "And you kinda complain about my hood early" With that said he stick out his tounge lightly before chuckle and relax

In the stable with the animals I look at Nighty sitting down on the hay, so I do the same and sit down next to him on the pile. The sheeps meanwhile do their business and bleat around peacefully. "Hehe, you flatterer. Yes, I know it is contradictory to ask you to take off your hood, thats true. But masquerading is much better than hiding completly. And I prefer seeing your face openly. It is also much more comfortable to act normal and move freely, instead of hiding. That seems less casual and makes people suspicious, if you know what I mean. I always liked to walk normally between people. Without hiding but with altering the outer appearance to some extent. Thats much more fun and way less suspicious."

"Oh and about our little problem: What is the plan? Do we hide by night in the stable and wait for the predator? Or do you have other plans? Then I hope the wind blows to our advantage, to blow away our scent. Maybe the predator doesn't notice and smell us that way. But maybe the smell of the sheeps is strong enough to overlay the scent of our bodies."

[Nighty]

"I guess.... but we will see how it goes without the cape once I make sure my story work well enough. Then I guess cape went to the box" Nighty smiles softly when look at her as he slide his hood off to let out his horns and face before relax, his hands behind his head as he was thinking right now how to deal with the problem.

"For now we should wait here until the night come, then we can come out and watch around. And since we can see in night, it would not be problem to spot them. We can wish that wind will help us and scare any predator but if they starving they still might come"

"Alright." Once you slide your hood off I pet your head. "Thats better, hehe."

"Okay, we will see how it goes. Should we hide here somewhere in the stable or just sit here? We can also sit on the crossbars." I look up and point at the crossbars made out of wood which support and sustain the roof.

Meanwhile the sun slowly goes down. After all we started our journey in the afternoon. But there is still enough time.

[Nighty]

''Mmmm here is fine... not like sheeps mind us" Chuckling, he sigh softly and relax from the headpats as Nighty lightly close his eyes, moving his head little over Brunhilde hand

"Plus it will not take that long... Sun will soon go down"

"Yea, its almost time." I lay back onto the pile of hay while the sun goes down and it gets dark. The sheeps also get quieter as they get tired. Surely I am not tired at all as I don't need sleep and I am a creature of the night anyways. So basically my night is during the risen sun.

"What will you buy from the first money you get? Hopefully its not too little."

[Nighty]

"Not sure, we will see how they will give us. Not really like think about it when I don't see money" He answer as his eyes glow gently white when he look around the ground, sitting now straight as he watch. Night was the time of the hunt and the predators should appear soon. Nighty right hand slide over his neck before he lightly crack and jump on his feets, stretching slightly "Sadly work time comes"

"Yea, it does. Lets get it quickly done." I put my hands behind my head to relax and close my eyes. It got meanwhile dark and the sheeps are also sleeping. So it is very quiet in the stable and around it. "Hm, I would eat something delicious. I hope in this world are some nice meals and restaurants. Or nice looking clothes. Thats what I would want." I mutter quiet, daydreaming.

After some time you could hear the rustling of bushes outside and some quiet steps.

[Nighty]

"Well we can check for this later" He answer and smiles when move his head little, hearing the rustling of the bushes. Steps are silent but he not need to hear them, the rustling was enough as he put his gauntlet on his hands. Still same, demonic one that Brun remember but now instead of having Hellhounds ornament, it was dragon one. He must changed to blend easier around as Nighty decide to move closer to the bushes to check them

Before Nighty can make a move the steps already reachd the stable. I did notice the presence of someone approaching but it doesnt alert me that much. I just open my eyes and look what is entering the stable. It is pitch black, only the moon gives some light. But obviously we can see perfectly in the dark, even better than at daytime. The main door of the stable slowly opens, the sheeps noticed the intruder too and are awake again, being scared and baa.

The main door opens and through the door steps a little girl, maybe around 6 or 7 years old. The girl is wearing some clothers but she is dirty from head to toe, her hair is unkempt. On her hands and her mouth is the faint color of dry blood. After the girl entered the stable she notices us and startles up, shen then remains frozen in place out of shock.

[Nighty]

Nighty stops as he look at the girl, geez she is not older then 7 years... plus minus year but still.... Is she is predator that hunt the stock of this old goat? He was not sure as he look over the girl as he see how miserable she look as he notice dry blood stains... Well blood said alot but also not all as he look over Brun for the second "This is getting intresting...."

"Huh?" I get up from the pile of hay and walk over to Nighty and the girl. She is noticibly scared and maltreated. Since she has blood on her hands and there is no reason for a little girl to get into the stable at this time of night I assume thats the predator we were looking for. She must be some kind of beast human, thats for sure. And that makes her not that different from who I am. We shouldnt let her go but I would never harm an innocent little girl aswell. I make a smile. "Oh, no need to worry, we won't do you any harm." But the girl tries to turn around and runs back to the door of the stable to escape.

[Nighty]

Nighty sigh and just rush as he was surely faster then this girl to grab her over the collar of her shirt and lift her up. If she try to attack he just go and let go some of his power out, not much but enough to pacify the girl. Well they have their 'predator' but this start more questions of what to do with the fact, not really being thrill to kill her but not sure how to deal with the problem at the hand. He sigh softly just to look over the Brunhilde and nods "So what we do now?"

I shrug to Nighty with a little unsure smile. I like children a lot but I am unsure how to deal with them since I have no experience with them. Meanwhile the girl struggles in the air once Nighty lifts her up and she scream a little. "Noo, you humans, dont bring me back! Please let me go." The child begs with loud voice, struggling and crying.

I walk over to Nighty and the girl. "Dont worry, little one. We are no danger to you. And we are no humans. See?" I point at Nightys horns and the girl looks at them and seems to understand and believe me.

"You are no humans? B..But what are you then? What is happening? Please let me down." The girl answers and calmed down, a little bit at least,

[Nighty]

"First we need to know few things. Nobody will hurt you if you answer. So first thing first, are you one sneaking here and killing animals?" Nighty ask as he loosen grip enough for the girl to not get hurt, he was still making sure she can just run away moment they give them, so they can deal with the case. He lightly look over the girl as he just check for anything unusal at her.... She look like she could not hurt the fly but... marks come from somewhere...

The girl looks at Nighty's horns and seems to believe we are no danger to her. She stops struggling and doesnt seem to try to run away again. But she is still crying and sobs, rubbing her eyes with all its tears. "Yes, I am so hungry." Still unusual for a child to be out all alone. And wondering why she is scared of humans.

"Aw, we gotta help her." I say to Nighty. I am obviously emotional about the little girl.

[Nighty]

"Maybe.... Are you alone here... And why you was afried that we are humans?" He ask as he place down the child on her feets before lighly look at her, his eyes move over her before gently look up into the forest and brushes..... Somethings is off for him but he not want to share his concer just yet, Brunhilde seem to care about the girl state
