I smile once he follows me in the air. "Hehe, try to keep up with me!" I say before I vanish and dart with high speed through the air into direction of our destination. I make a few rolls and loopings in the air as I obviously enjoy flying a lot. It jjust feels nice to not be bound by the force of gravity. And what was planned as a few hour long walk is now done in minutes. From above we can see the forest, our destination and I slow down significantly and drop myself to the ground between the trees, leaving a small crater in the earth from the impact. I giggle and look around, we are surrounded by trees. But once I pull out the quest-paper I can confirm that we are in the area we supposed to be. "That was fun."

Nighty roll his eyes with smile as he follow Brunhilde, making it slower and without much acrobatics but he get there as he land softly next to her, his wings grow back into his body before slowly put his shirt and jacket "Well, good we are close. It's better that we are here still in day, should be easier to find goblins nest" He look around slowly when dust off his jacket before move his head from left to right, slowly analyzing surrounding
Reply
"Yes, good idea to fly. We arrived here in no time." I smile and look around. "Now we just need to find them, no idea how to do so. Any ideas? Can you sense anything? Or smell them? I dont know.. They roam the forest during the night so there should be clues around." There are indeed clues like scratch marks on a few trees, or goblin poop and small footprints all around the forest. Or anything else you can imagine and find.

Reply
"Tracking was never my best thing... But some scratches can be spot, now we need look for the way the go and maybe we can find them" He nods as he look around before slide his hand over the bark of the tree, feeling scratches that goblin left as he nods, looking around for footprints
Reply
"Never good at tracking? You already found something, much better than me for sure." I smile and crouch down to look at the ground but I was never good at such detailed tracking. I dont have enough patience for such work. Nearby are footprints and in the distance, between the trees is something reflecting the sunlight and shining into your eyes.

Reply
"Yea, maybe if you slow down sometimes, enjoy the sun over skin" He chuckle and tease her softly when notice something shiny in the grass, walking to it before pick it up gently to check what we have
Reply
"Hehe, maybe thats the case. Good that we are going to the beach sooner or later." I grins while crouched down. But once Nighty moves I get up again and follow him. The shining object was the metal buckel of a leather bag. But why would there be something like that randomly in the forest? There is noone in the forest usually and there is also no trail nearby. Around the area are footsteps and scratches on the tree, like a fight was here. On the ground are also sander marks. Everything pointing into eastern direction.

Reply
"Hmmm someone was attack here" He whisepr when spin the buckel in silent before check the footprints as Nighty nods "Track lead there.... So maybe goblins kidnap someone?" He speak softly when follow the trail, putting the shiny stuff in the pocket
Reply
I look around and do see the fighting traces. "Well that wouldnt be a suprise, goblins usually kidnap their prey. They overwhelm them with their numbers and then drag them into their cave. Maybe we are lucky and can help someone." I say and follow Nighty into direction of the footsteps. After a few minutes of walking we reach a cliff and a hill with a cave in it. The caves has a pretty large diameter, probably like 7 meters. And it is dark, you cant see anything from outside.

Reply
"Well.... I guess we found the nest" He nods as he move his eyes over the cave entrance and check the daytime, entering there when night is creeping close would be bad idea "So we should go in? We have still time before sun set down and we can see if someone is there" As he look in the cave, dark as fuck but that not bother him as he can just use his sight to see in dark enviaroment
Reply
I stop infront of the cave. There are coming some strong smells out of it so there are surely beasts living inside. There are also a lot of footprints all around the place. "I guess we have to go inside. We could do a fire here as we intended, a big one with lots of smoke but in such a case we can't really do that. We dont know if someone is still alive. Or do you have another idea?"

Reply
"Not really.... If we care about rescue people from there... We need go first in and check" He sigh as he look over before nods, dark and smelly cave... cementary... Why not some warm place with palms and drinks with small umbrellas? Nighty shake his head to this idea before walk inside cave/.
Reply
"Thats right. Still problematic, one little sound and they might wake up and roam us in a swarm and in the tight place we can't move freely. At least thats what I would say if we were ordinary fighters." I giggle. "All right, lets get going then if you are ready." I say before I enter the dark cave. The cave seems pretty long at first and as we move further away from the entracne we are soon in pitch black.. which is not a problem, normally demons can see better in these conditions than in the sun.

Nighty stay as silent as he can be which is well, hard giving his steel toe boots can clink over loose rocks if not careful. But darkness no bother him that much, as Brunhilde he can see in dark, worse thing is that the tunnel is rather long right now.... Let's hope it will not just break into crossroad
Reply
The tunnel is pretty long and it has a little incline. So you can feel we are surely going deeper under earth. The walls of the tunnel are pretty smooth, who knows how this cave emerged. "Man this tunnel is surely long." I say with a muffled voice to not be too loud. The tunnels length is maybe 200 meters now until we can see a big metal gate in it all of a sudden. The gate is as big as the tunnel itself, a few meters high for sure. Who built it? And the tunnel itself is way too long and straight to be emerged by nature, someone made it.

Infront of the closed gate are two little creatures sitting on the ground. One of them is sleeping, the other one is stairing half asleep into our direction. They are armed with short knifes, one of them has a spear. Those are two goblins, you can notice their green skin and yellow eyes. They are around half a meter tall. Are they guarding the entrance? And it is still pitch black, can goblins see in the dark as well as we can? Most likely they do if they are out at night. That one golbin looking into our direction... if we can see him chances are high he can see us too and if we dont do anything or dont realize it he can set off an alert or something like that.

Reply
"Not sure if this is all natural.... it look more like hand made" He mumble silently to not make much noise as he continue journy with her down in the deep of earth, his eyes move around to make sure it is clean. But soon he need to stop as there is gate and worse part is that there are guards, two little greenskins. One sleeping and one... Damn he might notice them, we see him and he must too as Nighty not even try to back off, instead rushing fast into to the goblin, counting on Brunhilde to take care of other one as he grab the little one head and slam it over the wall, crushing it like egg.
Reply
"Yea, maybe some kind of earth magic, could be." I say and follow Nighty. Infront of us, not far away, is the gate and the two little guards. Once Nighty rushes forward to kill the first one the other sleeping one wakes up from the noise and the scramble. "Huh?!" The goblin jumps up on his feet looking around whats going on only to see his other little comrade getting smashed. I look at the goblin and understand it might be important to silence him better now. I make a few quick steps forward and let my tail wiggle. All of a sudden my tail lunges and darts with the apex forward. The tail itself extends its length to a few meters and pierces the goblins skull in a blink of an eye. The tail has now a length of around 5 meters and is a very usefull ranged attack. No wonder that without it I need to rely on my fists and legs alone. Now I am a threat even though I am further away. I pull put the tail from the goblins head and its corpse falls to the ground. The tail gets back to its normal length and I walk up to Nighty. "There we go." I say and look at the closed gate infront of us. It is a metal door and it is surely not built by goblins or other monsters, looks more like way more intelligent people, maybe humans, built this.

Reply
"Hmmm good job, silent and deadly" He nods and smiles little before focus on the door... Damn this is not goblin build. But not them then who made it? He was not sure but not bother himself alot as he move his hand over the steel surface, his gauntlet cover hand slide over it "Hmmm I could open it by force... But it may get loud" He mumble and look over Brunhilde, nodding little as he wait for her input on this matter
Reply
"Hehe you did great too." I say to give back the compliment. "Well, I doubt the little goblins are able to use a key. But then again they are also using tools and weapons, hmm." I look around and crouch down to the corpse of the two dead guards. Unfortunately they dont have a key on them. "Seems like they are not as dumb as I thought. They lock the gate at day time and let their guards outside. I guess the guards would hammer against the door to alert everyone so I think opening it by force is a bad idea. Any other ideas? What about fire?"

Reply
"We could smoke them but if there is prisoners there, they will choke down. And it is steel, I doubt we can just melt it too just with normal fire" He think about it as he not wanna strike it harder, lightly rubbing his chin when watch it... Must be other way in or really we need to go loud there? He sigh and rub his neck when watch around the gate
